EE 4G is now available in 14 more towns and cities, while the operator has also announced its new pay monthly tariffs and the UK’s first 4G pay-as-you-go plans will be available from tomorrow.
Benfleet, Caerphilly, Caldicot, Canvey Island, Carlisle, Chepstow, Cwmbran, Grays, Harlow, Hatfield, Kenilworth, Rayleigh, Southport and Worksop have all been added to the EE 4G network, bringing the total number of locations to 131, while the operator has pledged to cover 140 towns and cities by the end of the year.
EE currently has 1.2 million 4G subscribers and hopes its new range of plans for power and entry users will allow it to maintain its lead. Its new pay monthly tariffs start from £18.99, while its 4GEE Extra plans offer faster speeds, international roaming and greater data allowances.
In addition, the company is also offering pay-as-you-go plans with handset starting at £129.99 and it has refreshed its mobile broadband plans.
“One year on from our launch we are bringing 4G to even more places, making the UK’s fastest mobile network available to even more people,” says EE CEO Olaf Swantee. “We continue to grow our 4G coverage all around the country, and the new range of plans gives consumers and businesses more flexibility and choice in how they access superfast mobile.”
EE’s superior speeds and coverage mean it is the most popular 4G operator among TechWeekEurope readers, although a significant number say they are likely to sign up for LTE services with Three when they become available.
