Hanspree Launches The World’s Cheapest Smartwatch

Smartwatches just got a lot more affordable for the everyday consumer following the launch of a £29 wearable from Hanspree.

The Taiwanese manufacturer today announced its eponymous Sports Watch, offering a wide range of functions including sleep monitoring, exercise tracking, calendar management as well as acting as a communications device.

Compatible with both iOS and Android devices, the Sports Watch connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth, meaning you can stay on top of your fitness data and use it to set new goals.

This syncing will also allow the watch to display an alert if it detects an incoming call or app notifications.

Bargain

The Watch features a fairly low-resolution 0.68in OLED screen, which isn’t unsurprising considering the price tag, which be popped out and interchanged between any of the rubberised bands available. If you’re not a fan of watches, there’s also a necklace option included.

There’s some impressive battery life too, with Hanspree saying the device can offer anywhere between 8-10 days from a full charge (which takes less than an hour via USB), and can store up to 20 days worth of data without needing to sync to your smartphone.

The Hanspree Sports Watch is available from today in black or blue options, via the Hanspree online store. The iOS companion app is open to download from the App Store, but Android users will need to download from Hanspree’s website and side-load the app.
