Motorola RAZR HD Is Now Available In The UK

The Motorola RAZR HD is now available in the UK following its US release last year, however it appears as though no major UK operator is stocking the device.

Google-owned Motorola promises that the 4G-ready RAZR HD will deliver “the best Android experience around,” placing emphasis on speed and battery life.

It claims that the RAZR HD offers great performance on a single charge, allowing users to browse on an LTE connection for six hours, listen to 20 hours of music or talk for 16 hours. Battery life can be extended further through options known as Smartactions.

The Motorola RAZR HD is being touted as the “world’s most compact 4.7-inch smartphone”, measuring up at just 8.4mm thick. The Super AMOLED HD display is protected by Gorilla Glass, while further durability is provided by a Kevlar fibre coating and splash guard coating which protects the handset from spills and leakages.

On the inside, the smartphone runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, has a 1.5 GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. There is 16GB of storage to save data such as images from the eight megapixel camera and this can be extended up to 32GB through a MicroSD card.

“As our lives get busier, we need a handset that can keep up with the pace and with that in mind, the Motorola RAZR HD was born, a smartphone that’s always ready to go, whenever you need it” said Andrew Morley, VP & General Manager UK & Ireland, Motorola Mobility. “This doesn’t mean we should compromise on quality, as alongside this high-performance battery comes a 4.7-inch RAZR sharp HD screen, impossibly thin design and faster surfing of the net through 4G capabilities – all the features we know are critical for consumers.”

The Motorola RAZR HD is currently being sold by a number of online retailers SIM-free, including Amazon, which is stocking it for £484.99, and Clove.co.uk, which lists it at £330. It is unclear whether any of the major UK operators will be subsidising the smartphone with a contract.
