Samsung has tweeted a mysterious image of what appears to be a smartphone ahead of the expected unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S4 later this week.
“The countdown for #TheNextBigThing has begun,” read the tweet. “Who’s ready for the Global Unpacked Event on March 14?”
Only the top half of the device is visible in the attached image, but it bears a striking resemblance to a images purported to be Samsung’s new flagship smartphone, which surfaced on a Chinese Samsung forum yesterday.
A report last week claimed that the smartphone will include an eye scrolling feature that automatically scrolls down when a user’s eye reaches the bottom of the screen. It has also been suggested that it could be the largest Samsung Galaxy S smartphone released yet, boasting a five inch Super AMOLED full HD touchscreen.
According to leaked specifications, the Galaxy S4 will have a 13 megapixel camera, run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and have 2GB of RAM. It will come with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of storage.
The smartphone will succeed the hugely popular Samsung Galaxy S3, which shifts 190,000 units every single day. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is due to be revealed at midnight on Thursday.
