TechWeek Holds First Live Tech Club Event

TechWeekEurope kicked off its Tech Club community with a networking evening in London this week.

Tech Club is our forum for IT professionals to share the highlights of the job, and we plan to use it to get a better understanding of readers’ concerns, as well as helping you to progress in your careers. Our first evening was a simple get-together for drinks and talk in a London bar.

Tech Club members run IT

Launched at the beginning of the month, Tech Club now has 300 members, and a couple of dozen showed up on Tuesday night  to bend the ears of the editorial team on the top issues in IT today.

Early research into the membership so far, suggests that TechWeekEurope readers are senior, with the vast majority identifying as IT manager or higher. Twenty-nine percent of the membership are CEOs or directors (see pie chart).

The event was a success in itself, and we plan to grow it and repeat it once a quarter, along with other meetings including themed discussions, breakfast briefings and events like wine tasting.

Membership of Tech Club is free, and you can sign up here

If you have time, it would be useful if you could also fill out our survey. Below is a gallery of images from the event. Many thanks to you all!
