More than 40 percent of TechWeekEurope readers think that their colleagues are using cloud services without the explicit consent of their organisation’s IT department, according to our latest poll.
We asked you whether you thought that going behind the back of IT was an issue at your organisation. Cloud services are becoming increasingly popular with British businesses, but security concerns and other fears mean that many simply don’t use them, despite their benefits.
TechWeekEurope readers think that the problem is much worse. Nearly 42 percent of you think that people in your organisation are going behind the backs of IT. On the other hand, 34.5 percent of you are adamant that this doesn’t happen – or don’t want to admit it.
The remaining 23.9 percent of respondents sat on the fence and said that they simply had no idea whether this was happening.
