This year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona was a little bit different. The show took place at a new, bigger venue on the outskirts of the city and the mobiles and tablets were a bit more sensible too.
None had a 41 megapixel camera or a built-in projector and there were precious few devices actually launched by the major manufacturers, with many opting to make their announcements prior to MWC.
That’s not to say there wasn’t any hardware on show, far from it. The eight halls at the Fira Gran Via were packed with manufacturers, service providers and app developers keen to show off their wares and network on the floor, in the bar or even on the mini golf course.
TechWeekEurope was also there to sample the sights, sounds and devices of MWC 2013, so check out our highlights below.
