eWEEK Europe UK Goes Mobile

Readers will now be able to see eWEEK wherever they are, as the mobile version of our site arrives

eWEEK Europe UK is now available on mobile devices, so readers can read and comment on stories wherever they are.

The mobile version, activated during an upgrade to a new version of WordPress, should operate on all major mobile platforms, and gives readers the same content as the PC version of the site, but served in a form that makes sense on a small hand-held screen.

All the news that fits a screen

With smartphone sales growing rapidly (at 96 percent in the third quarter), all analysts agree that mobile content is going to expand rapidly.

While early attempts to get content on mobile devices have focused on specific apps for devices such as the iPhone, eWEEK Europe believes that the future is in a generic mobile version of sites, self-generated, and delivered from the same servers as the standard version.

Our mobile site includes all the stories, and can be navigated, to show all content for particular subjects or following particular authors.

It also includes features such as comments and discussion, as well as the ability to share stories through normal social channels.

There is no separate URL. If you enter our normal address in your mobile browser you should automatically go to the mobile version of the site.
