CSC Cuts 640 More Staff After Failed NHS Project

Following failures in its NHS work, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) will cut 640 jobs,making 1100 jobs lost in the past two months.

Staff working on an NHS contract to create  national electronic database, part of the failed £12.7 National Programme for IT (NPfIT) will face compulsory redundancies.

CSC was supposed to put in the ill-fated Lorenzo system, but the government scrapped the project earlier this year. CSC had alreeady announced 500 redundancies in February.
