Quiz Of The Week: European And EU Tech

On 23 June, the British electorate will decide whether the UK remains a member of the European Union (EU) or if it will initiate a ‘Brexit’.

The consequences of the decision will have ramifications for all of society and all industries – including technology.

EU referendum

Research by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) suggests a negative impact on the UK telecoms industry and the majority of British tech firms want to stay, claiming the EU makes them globally competitive and gives it a more favourable trading relationship with other members.

But regardless of the result, there is no doubting Europe’s contribution to technology, while the EU itself has major influence over research and regulation.

But what do you know about technology, the EU and European tech pioneers?
