Tech Quiz: Nokia, A Mobile Phone Giant

Nokia is back… sort of. Last week, smartphones bearing the iconic Finnish brand were shown off in Barcelona – including the revived Nokia 3310 – at Mobile World Congress (MWC).

However these phones are made by a company called HMD Global. In 2013, Microsoft bought Nokia’s devices and services unit for £4.6 billion before ‘streamlining’ operations under new CEO Satya Nadella.

It was a sad, slow demise for what was once the biggest name in mobile phones.

Nokia’s innovative features, classic designs and famed durability are all still held in high regard and the outpouring of nostalgia for the 3310 last week demonstrated the love many still feel for the company’s handsets.
