Microsoft has pulled the latest release of its Windows 10 Mobile after a barrage of complaints from Lumia smartphone owners who said it was riddled with faults.
The Lumia owners said that it failed to install or, if they could get it installed, they got an error massage about a lack of storage no matter how much free space was available.
Microsoft said it intends to release an improved update in the near future.
“Your input is incredibly valuable in helping us address your questions with timely updates and fixes. We are aware of issues related to the recently published Windows 10 Mobile update.
“The team is working on fixes and improvements to the upgrade experience in the short term and with future releases. In the meantime, we have unpublished the 10586.29 update for Windows 10 Mobile from our public update servers while we work through these reports.”
Lumia users who have already tried to install the latest Windows update can still use their device as normal and ignore any warning messages, Mongeau explained.
“While bothersome, you can safely ignore this message,” he said.
