For the past eight years, Mayor of London Boris Johnson has spent much of his tenure promoting the capital’s tech sector.

Tech City is now home to numerous startups hoping to make the big time, while major international technology companies have established headquarters in London – even if some are reluctant to pay what some feel is their fair share of tax.

It is expected that London’s technology industry will contribute £18bn to the UK economy this year, so it’s no wonder it has political support at the highest level.
