Teamworks,
the industry leader in athlete engagement software for professional and
collegiate teams, today announced details of new partnerships, product
enhancements and initiatives through the first quarter of 2019.
Substantial growth in the quarter ending March 31, 2019, was driven by
new partnerships with US-based professional teams, as well as continued
strength in Division I collegiate departments.

“Our ability to empower athletes continues to grow, as we deepen our
position in Division I athletics and build momentum among professional
and international markets,” said Zach Maurides, CEO and Founder of
Teamworks. “There is a growing recognition among elite athletics that
building a winning program requires an effective way to connect
throughout the organization. We’re proud to serve as that connection for
more than 2,500 teams around the world.”

Welcome to the #TeamworksFamily

Teamworks partnered with more than 160 new teams and organizations in
the first quarter of 2019, adding to the more than 2,500 teams that rely
on Teamworks to engage their athletes. Among the recently added teams
are:

  • Seven Division I athletic departments
  • Seven professional teams
  • Five teams from outside the United States
  • Four NFL teams
  • One Premier League team

Recent partnership announcements include:

NFL Leadership Committee

Teamworks continued its series of Leadership Committees, bringing
together key personnel from elite athletics to share strategies and
discuss industry trends. In March, the NFL
Leadership Committee
united 15 operations personnel representing 10
NFL teams to Teamworks Headquarters to share best practices to engage
their players and improve communication in their organizations.

“Technology is transforming every aspect of football,” said Michael
Slap, Team Logistics Manager of the San Francisco 49ers. “Teamworks is a
key technology for my role, as it helps me be more effective and
efficient. I look forward to collaborating with other members of the
Teamworks Family on what’s next for our industry.”

In 2018, Teamworks convened collegiate Basketball
and Baseball/Softball
Leadership Committees in Durham. Next up, Teamworks will host the NHL
Leadership Committee in June.

Product Updates

Teamworks continued to innovate and refine the platform to better serve
athletes, coaches and staff around the world. With the launch of
Teamworks in Spanish, the app automatically displays in Spanish for any
user with ‘Spanish’ selected as the native language on their phone.
Beyond allowing players to more seamlessly communicate, this update
facilitates more meaningful engagement throughout teams by removing
potential language barriers.

Functionality and usability were enhanced throughout the platform with a
focus on simplifying operations and reducing resources spent managing
logistics. With improvements to in-app messaging, users are instantly
alerted of changes to travel plans, making it easy for teams to ensure
everyone has the information they need while on the road. Additional
updates to the travel module were made to better meet professional
teams’ needs.

New functionality was also added for forms, allowing reminders to be
sent for important items that require feedback. With seamless reminders
and high-priority tasks prominently displayed in the app, users can
better manage priorities and be confident critical items have been
handled.

Teamworks Academics

Momentum continued to build for Teamworks
Academics
, a new solution aimed at enhancing the academic success of
all student-athletes, launching in Summer 2019. In the first quarter, 74
teams from four athletic departments selected Teamworks Academics to
more effectively help student-athletes achieve their academic goals. To
date, more than 20 universities have renewed or entered new partnerships
with Teamworks to leverage Teamworks Academics.

To raise awareness for the solution, as well as the benefits of
objective-based learning, Teamworks is conducting a series of
educational webinars. Most recently, Teamworks hosted a webinar focused
on the Check-Ins
module
which gives academics staff the ability to easily and
remotely monitor attendance at class, study halls and tutoring.

Teamworks Academics is being designed in conjunction with feedback from
more than 30 universities. An Advisory Board of key veterans who support
the academic achievement for intercollegiate athletics has been created.
The Board provides ongoing recommendations and industry best practices
to be incorporated into the development of Teamworks Academics.
