MWC 2016: Lenovo Mixes Business And Pleasure With Windows 10 Devices

Lenovo has unveiled a range of new tablet and PC devices at Mobile World Congress as the company looks to promote the benefits of both Windows 10 and Android for Work.

The Yoga 510 and Yoga 710 join the company’s established convertible laptop family, alongside the Mix 310 2-in-1 tablet to offer Windows 10 power on the go for both business and consumer users.

And Lenovo has also introduced three new Android tablets in its Tab family: the Tab 3 10 Business which comes sporting the business-focused Android for Work software, and the Tab 3 7 and Tab 3 8 devices for families looking for a shareable device.

Ready

Available in either 11 ichn or 14 inch variants, the Yoga 710 (pictured left) is the more powerful of the two new flexible laptops, featuring a 6th Gen Intel Core i7 processor on the latter and up to Core m5 processor on the former, backed up with the option of 256GB storage.

Weighing in at just 1.04kg and able to convert into either four modes or completely detach, the Yoga 710 offers up to eight hours of battery life, even with a 1920×1080 display, and will cost €799 (£624) for the 11 inch version and €899 (£702) for the 14 inch edition when it goes on sale in May.

The Yoga 510, available in either 14in or 15in editions, goes one better by offering up to eight and a half hour’s battery life, backed up by up to 6th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and special AMD Radeon R7 M460 2GB GFX.

Going on sale in April, the Yoga 510 (pictured below) will cost €479 (£374) for the 14 inch edition and €699 (£546) for the 15 inch model.

Android time

As for tablets, the Tab 3 10 Business comes with a 10in full-HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 and dual Dolby speakers, which along with its 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera make it ideal for conference calls.

Available from July, although there’s no information on price just yet, it will be powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and offer up to 12 hours of battery life alongside NFC and even optional 4G connectivity for working on the go.

Lenovo says that the Tab 3 10 Business is optimised for Google’s Android for Work platform, which provides dedicated profiles for business content and affords higher security and manageability.

It’s also pre-loaded with productive Android for Work apps, Google Play for Work, and a Kiosk Mode that allows users to set up their TAB3 10 Business as an interactive kiosk. The TAB3 10 Business is also very hard-wearing, as it has IP52 performance for dust- and splash-proofing.
