Welcome to this new series of podcasts from Zscaler.

In the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity, where the digital battleground is fraught with unseen adversaries and lurking threats, a new paradigm has emerged—a paradigm that challenges conventional wisdom and beckons us to rethink our approach to safeguarding our digital assets.

This shift, embodied by the principles of Zero Trust, challenges the traditional notion of implicit trust and instead advocates for a model where trust is earned, not assumed. But as we grapple with this fundamental redefinition, one question echoes through boardrooms and IT departments alike: How do we define Zero Trust today? Are we really talking about ‘negative trust”?

From the daunting spectre of rising costs to the labyrinthine maze of organisational inertia, we’ll navigate through the challenges and pitfalls that stand in the way of progress. But perhaps most intriguing of all is the exploration of changing behaviour—both within our adversaries and within our own ranks. As we peer into the shadows of cyberspace, we’ll uncover the ghosts that haunt the machines we rely on, shedding light on the unseen forces that shape our digital future.

At the heart of this enigma lies the vigilant gaze of Artificial Intelligence, tasked with overseeing networks for anomalies, tirelessly scanning the digital horizon for signs of intrusion. But beyond the watchful eyes of AI lies a fundamental shift—a shift towards a new way of doing cybersecurity.
