MWC 2014: Pictures From An Exhibition… And Beyond

This year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) has finally come to an end after four long days of big announcements from just about every company you can think of in the mobile industry (apart from Apple obviously), and this year’s event was just as busy as any in the congress’ history.

You couldn’t move for the number of smartphones, tablets and, increasingly, wearable devices on the show floor, while networking and infrastructure firms, operators, developers and even accessory manufacturers were present and accounted for.

Major new smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2 and the Nokia X made their debuts, while there were a host of major technology companies, including HP, IBM and Dell eager to make an impact on the mobile industry.

We also learned more about the Firefox OS, Tizen, Ubuntu and Sailfish OS operating systems and even Mark Zuckerberg made an appearance.

It’s difficult to overestimate the magnitude of the event and just how busy it was, but we hope that our gallery will give you just a taste of the madness of MWC and a glimpse of what it looks like when the entire mobile industry gathers in one place for one week of the year.

We hope you enjoyed our coverage of the week and we can all enjoy a well-deserved rest. Until 2-5 March 2015, when it all happens again, of course.

What do you know about MWC?
