Waiting Until Cyber Breach is Identified is Dangerous: Credit Unions Must Utilize Real-Time Data to Ensure Security

What are the odds of winning the lottery? Getting struck by lightning?
Getting audited? The answer is that they are all greater than the odds
of being the victim of a cyber attack.

With the combination of the increasing rate of cyber breaches and the
declining volume of cybersecurity talent, credit unions are being faced
with a unique problem that must be solved quickly. In light of this,
DefenseStorm Chief Revenue Officer Steve Soukup is leading a breakout
session at the upcoming NAFCU Annual Conference regarding this current
cyber threat challenge.

The conference, taking place in New Orleans from June 18 through June
21, will provide the setting for Soukup to discuss realistic solutions
to issues such as the shortage of 3M cybersecurity staff and the
prevalence of hacking during his presentation at 10:30am CT on Thursday,
June 20.

Steve will also be at DefenseStorm’s booth #122 to answer any questions
and discuss ways in which credit unions can best prepare for
next-generation cyber attacks. An executive with deep banking industry
expertise, Steve has worked for a number of FinTech companies throughout
his 20+ year career, including Intuit, KPN, Q2 and S1 Corporation. In
addition, he has direct banking experience through management positions
at Key Bank, Bank Boston and State Street Bank.

“Steve has been successfully helping to protect credit unions and their
members from cyberattacks for years,” said Harold Brewer, DefenseStorm
CEO. “This presentation is designed to enable attendees to immediately
implement an easy-to-follow plan to ensure they are both cybersecure and
cybercompliant.”
