UHSM (Unite Health Share Ministries), a faith-based health care nonprofit founded on Christian beliefs and values, today announced a partnership with Fitbod, a personalized fitness app that leverages health data to enable users to develop and nurture weekly fitness habits. Providing its members with premium access to unlimited and personalized fitness plans, UHSM furthers its commitment to providing holistic health care to its members.

“We’re elated to welcome Fitbod to our collection of exclusive offerings for our members,” said Christopher Jin, president of UHSM. “With a firm belief in physical wellbeing, the ease and functionality of Fitbod will allow our members to take the guesswork out of exercising and provide efficient, fun and tailored home workouts.”

With regular physical activity coined as one of the most important things you can do for your health, Fitbod has created custom workouts that capture all the strength-training benefits. The app-based guided training sessions incorporate machine learning to analyze tracked workout data to build real-time strength-training plans tailored to physical capability, available equipment, and fitness goals.

“We are excited to partner with UHSM and broaden our community outreach,” said Krystian Michalak, head of partnerships at Fitbod. “Everyone should experience the health benefits of physical exercise—no matter your age, abilities, shape or size. Fitbod believes everyone should be empowered with a personalized fitness plan to help foster and nurture a love of exercise and we can’t wait for UHSM members to experience that firsthand.”

In addition to the partnership with FitBod, UHSM recently established several community initiatives, including a collaboration with Abide, the world’s most popular Christian meditation app, to offer its members access to unlimited and uninterrupted meditations, topics and guides and Relevant Magazine, a faith-based publication whose purpose is to share real-life stories that are at the intersection of a Christ-centered life.

ABOUT UHSM

UHSM (Unite Health Share Ministries) is a nonprofit, faith-based health sharing ministry that facilitates member-to-member health sharing among fellow Christians, serving as a connector to administer medical cost sharing through its We Share programs. Christian healthcare is chosen by millions each year over traditional insurance plans, and We Share programs by UHSM stand alone as the only health sharing that offers members true prescription coverage through the CVS Caremark network plus access to basic care through CVS Minute Clinic and Health Hub. UHSM members can also access care through nearly one million doctors, hospitals and specialists in the First Health PPO Network, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aetna Inc. Additionally, all members can contact the DocDay telehealth network seven days a week for diagnoses, treatment, lab orders and prescriptions related to more than 40 health conditions. Headquartered in Norfolk, VA, UHSM offers its members simple, fair, and friendly healthcare programs. The UHSM mission is to help Christian families fulfill their God-given purpose to care for one another, foster holistic wellbeing, and positively impact our communities in need.
