TuxCare, global innovator in enterprise-grade cybersecurity for Linux, today announced the appointment of Michael Canavan as the company’s new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Jim Jackson, who previously served as both President and CRO, will continue to serve as President.
Canavan previously served as TuxCare’s senior vice president of global sales. His promotion follows a fast-paced period of worldwide expansion for TuxCare, including new strategic partnerships and the opening of operations outside of the United States. The company also continues to grow its portfolio of service offerings for Linux, including zero down-time patching, end of life Linux security, and enterprise support for AlmaLinux.
In his new role as CRO, he will oversee all TuxCare customer-facing teams including marketing, operations and support. Prior to joining TuxCare in 2021, Canavan served in top sales roles at numerous leading technology companies such as Absolute Software, Globalscape, Kaspersky and Trend Micro. He holds degrees in economics and psychology from Purdue University and completed the Applied Management Program at its Daniels School of Business.
