Tachus Fiber Internet, one of the fastest-growing fiber-to-the home Internet Service Providers (ISP) in Texas, announced plans to bring its reliable, 1 Gigabit-capable fiber Internet service to residential customers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area starting in 2022.

The expansion, which is part of a multi-year investment to build fiber-to-the-home Internet service in communities across Texas, is the first for Tachus outside of the Houston Metropolitan area.

“Tachus has spent the past three years building a state-of-the-art fiber network in the Houston metro to bring neighborhoods into the modern communications age,” Chief Executive Officer Hal Brumfield said. “Today, we’re excited to announce plans to further expand our footprint into the Dallas-Fort Worth area, knowing that Metroplex residents desperately want and need this technology.”

Tachus has differentiated itself in the fiber-to-the-home Internet market by remaining true to its core values of community, integrity, and simplicity, focusing on providing access to blazing fast fiber Internet, prompt and thorough local customer service with lifetime pricing, and no taxes, fees, or data caps – no strings attached.

The company’s fiber network expansion into the D-FW market will initially focus on well-established neighborhoods where customer choice is limited and reliable, high-speed Internet service is lacking.

Chief Strategy Officer Carter Old said Tachus expects to commence construction in the counties of Denton, Collins, Rockwall, Tarrant, Dallas, Kaufman, Ellis, Grayson, Parker, Hood, Johnson, and Hunt in 2022. Crews will be laying fiber in stages starting in 2022 and company representatives will be visiting with residents and neighborhood associations in the project areas throughout the construction process.

“These communities represent the beginning of our presence in the D-FW area,” Old said. “The last two years navigating the COVID pandemic has made everyone realize reliable, high-speed Internet is critically important infrastructure in today’s digital world. So, Tachus is proud to take this bold step and expand service to underserved neighborhoods in the Metroplex.”

Tachus has raised over $190 million in debt and equity to continue expanding its multi-generational communications infrastructure network. With capital from its financial sponsor Crosstimbers Capital Group and a syndication of Texas banks, Tachus will more than double its footprint in 2022.

Tachus is proud to have been recognized by CNET in April 2022 as one of the Best Internet Providers in Houston, and per Ookla’s first-quarter 2022 findings, Tachus has the fastest average download speeds in Houston. The company also boasts a Net Promoter Score of 84 – the highest of any ISP in the United States. Earlier this quarter, Brumfield and Old were named finalists for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2022 Central South Awards program, which is the world’s most prestigious awards program for entrepreneurs.
