Kristin Vines joins as VP People and Matthew Cordasco joins as VP Product. These new appointments represent milestone investments in the company’s people and product strategies during a year of unprecedented growth. In the past 12 months, Split has seen a 75% increase in its user base and an explosion of usage on its platform, which now serves nearly 50 billion daily feature flags to over 2 billion end users around the globe.
“I’m thrilled to welcome two proven leaders, Kristin Vines, and Matthew Cordasco, to Split at a time of enormous growth and potential for our business,” said Brian Bell, CEO, Split. “Split is at an inflection point as more and more enterprise development teams recognize the value of releasing features faster, with more control and greater impact on the business. We know we need the right leadership team in place to drive the business forward as we lead and shape the market.”
Vines is an accomplished executive recognized as a visionary leader in scaling high performing teams and in progressive workforce strategies in fast growing technology companies. Split’s employee base has expanded by 60% in the last 8 months as it has scaled across business functions, from engineering to sales to customer support. Vines brings deep Human Resources experience, including executive leadership roles at Demandforce/Intuit and Directly. Vines will enable Split to hire aggressively while maintaining focus on an internal culture of experimentation, innovation, and inclusivity.
“Leading a company with purpose and creating inspiration for employees can only lead to a successful and happy organization. This was a key factor in my decision to join Split. I saw this purpose in every member of Split’s leadership team. I couldn’t be more excited to partner with this team to build this brand,” said Kristin Vines, VP People, Split. Vines brings over 25 years of Human Resources leadership experience in achieving bottom-line results to enhance business and employee performance in line with organizational objectives.
Split is also excited to bring aboard Matthew Cordasco as VP Product to drive an innovative product roadmap. Cordasco, formerly of SurveyMonkey, is a Silicon Valley veteran and a repeat entrepreneur in San Francisco. He is a senior product professional who delivers a unique blend of vision and product management discipline to the team alongside a background in growth companies and digital experimentation. He has a driving passion for scaling businesses, team-building, IP creation, and bringing dazzling products to market through servant leadership.
“Split is the future of app development. The feature delivery landscape has been changing at a blistering pace, and we now live in a world where applications are developed as a collection of features. Those features need to be brought to market quickly and with confidence,” said Matthew Cordasco, VP Product, Split. “Split’s explosive growth is a testament to the market’s realization that experimentation on top of feature flags provides the guardrails to safely move faster than ever before. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with this world-class team as we continue to be pioneers of the feature delivery lifecycle.”
Cordasco co-founded the crowdsourcing platform MyCrowd.com (a marketplace for QA testing, acquired by QAsource) and co-founded Overstat (an analytics and A/B testing platform), acquired by Tealeaf and subsequently by IBM in 2012 for $440 million.
Earlier this month, Split was recognized in The Forrester New Wave™: Feature Management & Experimentation, Q2 2021 as part of an emerging category that is already demonstrating growing demand. With more and more customers onboarding to Split each day and a packed roadmap of exciting new features to deliver on, Split’s continued success will require additional top talent, speed, and focus. The company is eager to leverage Vines and Cordasco’s combined expertise to ensure Split has the winning team and product vision to achieve its next level of growth and bring innovations to the platform.
