Sagility LLC, a leading provider of technology-enabled business process management (BPM) services, today announced it has extended its nearshore operational excellence to Barranquilla, Colombia. The company also runs its operations from multiple locations in Jamaica, in addition to its global capabilities in the US, Jamaica, India, and the Philippines.
In 2023, this location launch will introduce 650 jobs to the steadily growing BPO industry in the country with its on-premise and work-from-home positions. Additionally, it will expand operations to 2,000 employees in the region within the next three years. The Colombia center adds bilingual capabilities, efficient customer service skills, a well-educated workforce and an affinity to U.S. culture to bolster Sagility’s BPM services.
Barranquilla is home to a demographic that has a vocation for service, aligning well with the healthcare service industry. Combined with the area’s IT infrastructure and low risk to natural disasters, these factors position the city as one of the top five best locations in the LATAM region.
The BPO sector in Colombia is attracting investments from around the world and is projected to continue growing with additional government initiatives underway.
