Pink Elephant is pleased to announce the first inductees to the newly established IT Service Management Hall of Fame. The new award program was created to recognize individuals who have significantly contributed to, profoundly influenced, and made a long-standing commitment to the IT service management (ITSM) industry. The inductees were announced at Pink20 – the 24th Annual International IT Service Management Conference & Exhibition.

“For over 30 years, we have seen IT service management evolve to where we are today – mainly through ITIL, the most widely referenced body of knowledge for developing and managing IT services,” said Pink Elephant President David Ratcliffe. “During this time, a few unique individuals have become true trailblazers promoting the use of good practices either within their organizations or to the wider global audience. We have had a front row seat in viewing these individuals and today we honor three who have the prestigious distinction of representing the highest levels of inspiring leadership and success.”

The first three IT service management trailblazers to be inducted into the ITSM Hall of Fame are:

  • Brian Johnson – Chief Architect at the ASL/BISL Foundation

Brian Johnson is one of the original authors of the first ITIL books. Since then, he has published more than 30 titles about IT and business best practices, and has spread his message as a presenter to audiences in more than 40 countries. He is also the founder of the IT Service Management Forum (itSMF), a professional organization focused on IT service management and ITIL. Currently with the forum, Brian helps provide guidance on business information management to a wide range of public and private sector businesses.
  • Cathy Kirch – Sr. Business Analyst, Service Management at Argonne National Laboratory

Cathy is a certified ITIL® Expert, a frequent speaker at multiple conferences, and a recipient of the 2006 ITIL Practitioner of the Year, 2007 Project of the Year, and 2012 Case Study of the Year awards. She has led multiple process efforts and projects at Allstate, and has played a major role at the IT Service Management Forum (itSMF) USA, as the president of the Chicago Local Interest Group, and subsequently served as the Board President and President of itSMF USA.
  • Troy DuMoulin – VP, Research & Development, Pink Elephant

Troy has more than 20 years of experience in executive IT management training and consulting and is a contributing author for multiple books on topics such as Lean IT, the service catalog, and official ITIL publications for editions 2, 3, and 4. He is also an ITIL 4 lead architect. Troy is a frequent speaker at IT management events and was recently named one of the “Top 25 Industry Influencers in Tech Support and Service Management”.
