OpenComp, a leading compensation intelligence provider, today announced it has appointed veteran philanthropic advisor Emily Sweet to the role of vice president of social impact. With the creation of this new role, OpenComp formalizes its commitment to build a social enterprise keen on solving complex inequalities in the workplace. Sweet will structure and drive a robust strategy to affect transformational change across the company, its customers, the startup community and beyond.

Sweet is a philanthropic leader and policy advisor with more than 20 years of experience driving social change for society’s most pressing and urgent challenges. Prior to OpenComp, Sweet held executive positions at the Lefkofsky Family Foundation, the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago, the Jewish Women’s Foundation of Chicago and eight years in the Mayor’s Office on Domestic Violence at the City of Chicago. She was a 2013 Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow and past recipient of the Jewish Federation of Chicago’s Samuel A. Goldsmith Award.
Sweet joined OpenComp in 2021 as an executive-in-residence and founding advisory board member of OPEN Imperative, a coalition of hundreds of founders, CEOs and investors from the world’s fastest-growing companies. The group is committed to ending gender pay disparity by 2027 via data-driven action.
