NeoPhotonics Announces Withdrawal from OFC 2020

NeoPhotonics Corporation (NYSE: NPTN), a leading developer and manufacturer of silicon photonics and advanced hybrid photonic integrated circuit based lasers, modules and subsystems for bandwidth-intensive, high speed optical networks, today announced that it was withdrawing from participation in the Optical Fiber Communications Conference (OFC), scheduled to be held March 8 to 12 in San Diego, California, due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

“With regret we have decided to withdraw from participation in the Optical Fiber Communications Conference. But given the uncertainty surrounding the outbreak of the COVID-19 coronavirus, we believe this is the prudent course to protect the health and safety of employees and customers,” said Tim Jenks, Chairman and CEO of NeoPhotonics. “We look forward to participating in OFC in the future as it provides the ideal venue to showcase our innovative products and leading technologies,” concluded Mr. Jenks.
