Iron Bow Technologies, the leading technology solutions provider to government, commercial, and healthcare markets, today announced that Nelson Moe, former CIO for the Commonwealth of Virginia, has been appointed as the Sales Strategy Principal for the company’s SLED business unit.
In his new role at Iron Bow, Moe will leverage his deep understanding of the public sector and will serve as a subject matter expert for state and local governments and educational organizations. Additionally, Moe will assist customers and prospects in optimizing their IT enterprise to achieve desired outcomes.

Moe was CIO for the Commonwealth of Virginia for nearly 7 years where he drove a successful transformation from a single supplier to a multi-supplier integrator model saving the Commonwealth over $200 million dollars. He also transformed the Commonwealth’s enterprise compute from a legacy on-premises model to a cloud-based model to provide innovative services at speed and scale. Prior to his role in Virginia, Moe was CIO of the US House of Representatives and a US Navy Submarine Officer where he qualified for Command and Chief Engineer.
