HRC Fertility Center, one of the largest providers of advanced fertility treatments based in Southern California, announced the celebration of its 35th anniversary by unveiling special egg freezing packages including a package priced at $3,500. HRC’s highly competitive price points will grant greater access to a larger demographic and make the concept attainable for women of all ages.

Today, women are pursuing much more than just motherhood. They have built successful careers, obtained higher education, and are empowered to travel and discover all that the world has to offer. With society’s continued evolution, the idea of parenthood has shifted, yet the timing of the biological clock remains the same.

Greater Need for Education

Data from a recent national survey of over 1,000 Gen Z and Millennials found that more than half of the 1,200 respondents (51.1%) shared that they did not know anything about egg freezing, and those that were somewhat familiar with the concept (48.9%) credited movies/TV (46.5%) and social media (30.2%) as the key sources of information.

More than half of respondents wished they had learned about egg freezing in their early 20s (21%) and had been educated on the concept in school/college (31.7%).

The Future Is Access for All

Nearly half of Gen Z and millennials (43.4%) were relieved to know that egg freezing is an option that is available to them because it grants them the much-needed time to pursue their interests and passions before entering parenthood.

When asked what they would be willing to pay to have their eggs frozen, 51.3% said anything under $3,000 would be the ideal option, while 31.4% are willing to pay between $3,000-$6,000.

“While society has progressed greatly, evolution remains the same. Through this offering, our goal is to help as many women as possible to freeze time and preserve their eggs without feeling constrained by their biological clocks,” said Dr. John Wilcox, Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist, HRC Fertility. “Our 35th anniversary celebration package will make the idea of egg freezing much more attainable for a younger demographic – women in their 20s and 30s.”
