Frankly, the online holistic mental wellness provider, today announced the expansion of its mental wellness coaching services for adults in all 50 states to provide the right mix of tools and treatments for mental health and well-being to those in need of support.

Inflation, employment layoffs, new virus variant surges, the political climate–these are some of the stressors people are facing today, and they can be difficult to navigate alone. Without the right habits or tools, our ability to cope with everything life throws at us can be limited. Not knowing how to handle these obstacles can negatively impact mental health and wellness.

Demand for mental wellness services is skyrocketing and many people are finding themselves struggling to find available therapists, counselors, and psychiatrists. According to an ABC News analysis of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services data, 570 counties in the U.S. have no psychologists, psychiatrists or counselors, and three-quarters of rural counties have no or less than 50 mental health providers per 100,000 people. Frankly believes wellness coaching provides a path to therapeutic support that can bridge the gap in availability and accessibility of traditional therapy.

“At Frankly, we are committed to providing mental health and wellness assistance, and what that support looks like varies from person to person,” said Muhammad Lucman, founder and CEO of Frankly. “We believe mental wellness coaching is an affordable addition for anyone on a mental wellness journey.”

The Mayo Clinic reports that wellness coaching can reduce depressive symptoms, perceived stress levels, and improve quality of life and physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual functioning. Wellness coaching can complement treatment plans from therapists or medical providers leading to individuals feeling more supported, having greater access to professional care, and better, long lasting outcomes. It serves as an effective supplement to any treatment plan, especially with the continued strain on current providers availability.

“We understand that wellness is unique to each individual,” continues Lucman. “For some, getting started on their wellness journey is easy; they set small, reachable goals, they are consistent, and have an end goal in mind. But for others, it can feel like a complex and daunting task.”

Wellness coaching helps individuals:

  • Identify the actual goal they’re trying to achieve.
  • Make a plan to figure out the steps needed.
  • Identify the right habits that they can easily add to be successful.
  • Be held accountable by checking in on a regular basis.
  • Receive prompts and encouragement when it gets difficult to self-motivate.

“If you want to make a change in your life, you need a plan. And a plan with support gives you a greater chance of success than doing it alone,” said Chelley Balke, Director of Clinical Operations, Frankly. “When we start out with a goal that’s too big, we become easily discouraged and give up. By setting a small, reasonable goal for a short period of time, we give ourselves a chance to experience success and consistency. Having a coach, someone you can rely on to hold you accountable for your actions, can truly make a difference.”
