Prior to joining Energy Freelance, McCown was Director of Commercial Development for Black Stone Minerals, L.P. Additional previous roles include business development and landman positions with companies like Parsley Energy, Inc., where he oversaw billions of dollars worth of acquisitions and divestitures in the Permian; Stockyards Energy Land Services, and EverVest, Ltd.
