DSFederal, an award-winning woman-owned business that develops advanced health IT solutions for federal agencies, has been awarded a Chief Information Officer–Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3) Small Business contract by the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC). Under this government-wide acquisition contract (GWAC), DSFederal will leverage nine years of experience providing health and research IT solutions to further expand its work in support of HHS and the broader federal health IT landscape. This award comes on the heels of its most recent work with NIH to provide a wide range of services to the Office of Extramural Research (OER).
As a prime recipient of the 10-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle, DSFederal will provide expertise and innovative IT solutions in 10 Task Areas: IT Services (Biomedical Research, Health Sciences and Healthcare), Chief Information Officer (CIO) Support, Imaging, Outsourcing, IT Operations and Maintenance, Integration Services, Critical Infrastructure Protection and Information Assurance, Digital Government, and Enterprise Resource Planning and Software Development.
“Our team is passionate about leveraging innovative technology to support our nation’s health and science initiatives and is excited to have this great opportunity to continue to support the talented scientists and program managers at NIH and HHS through this new contract,” said DSFederal CEO Sophia Parker. “Through health science and IT capabilities, we look forward to providing NITAAC and the other federal civilian agencies it supports with best-in-class expertise and IT solutions to achieve health mission success.”
Under the contract, DSFederal will provide health and biomedical-related IT services to meet scientific, health, administrative, operational, managerial and information management requirements. Projects under this contract include development and operation of large-scale systems that scientists and clinicians depend on in order to achieve their missions.
