Chapter, the leading data-driven Medicare Advisor, announced today two additions to its executive team as the company continues its next phase of growth.

The new appointments include:

  • Ilya Karger has been named Head of Medicare Revenue, bringing extensive sales and operations experience with insurance companies, centered around consultative sales, member satisfaction, and growth. Karger comes to Chapter from his previous position as Associate Director of Sales at Policygenius, where he built and led more than a hundred-member team of licensed insurance advisors.
  • Daniel Mori has been named Head of Marketing, bringing over 15 years of strategic marketing experience in insurance and consumer-facing products. Prior to Chapter, Mori held marketing leadership positions with Ethos Life and Zoosk.

“Ilya and Daniel are humble, mission-driven leaders in their respective fields, with strong track records of success in scaling exceptional companies. We are so excited to have them join our team as we chart our next growth phase,” said Cobi Blumenfeld-Gantz, CEO and Co-Founder of Chapter.

This past year has seen rapid growth for the company, including quadrupling its team size and expanding its advising capacity to include licensed Medicare advisors nationwide. Chapter has raised over $60 million in financing to date, including a $42-million Series B funding round announced earlier this year.

“Over the course of my career, I’ve helped companies scale operationally efficient teams centered around personal development, customer satisfaction, and growth. I’m impressed with Chapter’s unique approach to helping millions of people across the country find the right healthcare plans for their needs. There is a huge opportunity in the market for Chapter, and I am excited to join the team,” said Ilya Karger.

Alongside Karger, Chapter has hired Daniel Mori who is responsible for growing the marketing team and engaging key customers across the country. “The vast majority of Americans navigating Medicare are not being served the right healthcare plan options that are tailored specifically to their needs. I joined Chapter because of the company’s ability to act as a change agent for millions of people who are approaching retirement. We are building a world-class marketing organization and will help reshape the narrative to positively impact people across the country as they approach retirement,” said Mori.

Legacy resources available to individual consumers provide incomplete and often incorrect recommendations. Traditional brokers perform detailed searches across only the plans that pay them commissions because those are the only carriers that typically provide structured information about their benefits. Chapter takes a fiduciary-type approach offering greater choice and transparency to ensure that those navigating Medicare choose the best options for their unique needs.

“Every year, insurance carriers optimize their plans and benefits to appeal to consumers. But without the right technology, it’s impossible for consumers to understand these plans and their options. The system has become so overly complicated that most Americans do not have the right Medicare coverage. At Chapter, we’re bringing Medicare navigation into the 21st century, with far better results,” added Blumenfeld-Gantz.

Chapter’s advisors use its proprietary technology platform to search every single Medicare plan nationwide, including Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplements, and standalone Part D prescription plans, to provide consumers a holistic look at their options. Unlike most Medicare advisors, the compensation earned by Chapter’s licensed advisors does not vary based on specific plan recommendations or selections. As a result of its best-in-class data model, Chapter offers an ethical, informative, and consumer-first experience for older adults seeking to maximize their Medicare coverage.

Chapter was founded by Cobi Blumenfeld-Gantz, Corey Metzman, and Vivek Ramaswamy.

About Chapter: Chapter is a Medicare Advisor with a simple commitment: it’s impossible to find a better Medicare recommendation or better support anywhere else. Chapter’s team and technology search every Medicare option nationwide at an unprecedented level of detail.

Chapter’s licensed advisors provide personalized, end-to-end guidance to Americans navigating Medicare. The advisory team earns identical compensation irrespective of the selected plan or carrier, ensuring that each Chapter member receives recommendations tailored solely for their needs. Additionally, Chapter’s platform supports older Americans in deciding when and how to sign up for Medicare and whether they can improve existing coverage to get better benefits for less. Chapter also hosts hundreds of educational events every year and partners with employers, financial advisors, benefits professionals, non-profits, religious institutions, and community leaders.
