Officially the Galaxy S5 is only water-resistant, but it offers the same thirty minutes at 3ft protection as pretty much any other ‘normal’ smartphone on this list.
Turn on the ‘high sensitivity’ setting and this S5 will work even with wet fingers or gloves on.
The water resistant aspect of the S5 is in line with other recent water resistant phones – there are simply rubber seals on the plastic cover and on the flap that sits over the USB port.
However, one convenient addition to the water resistant design, is that the headphone jack does not need a flap as it is coated internally to avoid letting any water in.

Only the Z1 Compact mentioned? Surely the Xperia Z2 / Z3 lines would have been a better example.
