At a time of shrinking budgets and increasing service demands, one of the innovative areas local authorities have turned to is shared services. By sharing services, over 220 councils have secured a total of £156m of efficiency savings in the last five years.
Despite the successes that have been delivered, many challenges remain to improve shared service frameworks in order to maximise financial and non-financial savings.
This special symposium provides an invaluable opportunity to examine the government’s approach to promoting shared services in the public sector and explore what more can still be done to increase efficiencies whilst maintaining quality standards in delivery.
I am pleased to advise you that we offer a 20% early registration discount off the standard delegate rates for all bookings received by 19th December 2012. For further details about the symposium, please refer to the enclosed event brochure. Do feel free to circulate this information to relevant colleagues within your organisation.
In the meantime, to ensure your organisation is represented, please book online or complete and return the attached registration form at your earliest convenience in order to secure your delegate place(s).
