Win ODI Tickets To England v Australia At Edgbaston With TechWeekEurope

It has already been a successful British sporting summer and it’s not even August yet.

Andy Murray ended Britain’s long wait for a Wimbledon men’s singles champion, while Justin Rose became England’s first major Golf champion in 17 years and Chris Froome ascended the podium on the Champs- Élysées to win Britain’s second consecutive Yellow Jersey in The Tour de France.

The Lions won their first series since 1997 by beating Australia 2-1 – just as TechWeekEurope readers predicted they would. Before the first test in Brisbane, we asked what the result of the three match series would be and an overwhelming 61.4 percent said The Lions would win 2-1.

Cricket tickets

The second most popular answer was a 3-0 Lions victory, with 21.2 percent predicting that outcome, while 13.9 percent said Australia would win 2-1. An even more optimistic 3.5 percent envisaged a 3-0 whitewash for Australia, but maybe they were joking, or have never heard of sports analytics.

Attentions have now turned to The Ashes and England have a commanding 2-0 lead in the five match series, rendering the Aussie’s chance of regaining The Urn an almost impossible task.

But not all is lost as there is still the One Day International (ODI) series to look forward to and TechWeekEurope has two pairs of tickets to give away for the third ODI in Birmingham on 11 September.

All you have to do to have a chance of attending the game at Edgbaston is to answer our latest poll and provide the answer to a simple question, along with your details in the field below. All entries must be received by Midday 26 August, when two correct entries will be selected at random.

Good luck – and if you think you know your sport tech, then try our quiz!
