Steve Jobs’ House Robbed, Police Arrest Suspect
A man has been arrested after breaking into the house belonging to the late Steve Jobs
Police in America have confirmed that they have arrested a man suspected of robbing the family home of Steve Jobs.
A 35-year-old man has been charged.

Jobs, co-founder and long-time CEO at Apple, died 5 October 2011, aged 56 years old after an eight-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Several computers and some personal items worth an estimated $60,000 (£38,282) were stolen 17 July from the house, located in a fashionable neighbourhood south of Palo Alto’s downtown.
In the report, police classified the incident as a straightforward burglary.
Police subsequently arrested Kariem McFarlin, 35, on 2 August and charged him with burglarising the house and then selling the property he looted. Alameda is located across San Francisco Bay from Palo Alto.
Jobs also owned residential property in Woodside, California, located a few miles from Palo Alto and a 20-minute drive from Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino.
Long Stretch
McFarlin was arraigned last week and is currently in Santa Clara County jail in San Jose in lieu of bail.
If convicted, he faces a maximum prison sentence of seven years and eight months.
A spokesman for the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s office told the San Jose Mercury News that McFarlin probably was not aware that the home was that of Jobs’ family.
