Next week, what seems like the entire mobile industry will descend upon Barcelona for the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC).
The event occupies all eight halls of the Gran Fira exhibition centre in the outskirts of the Catalan capital, filled to the brim with the latest smartphones, tablets, accessories and telecommunications equipment.
Most of the major manufacturers, operators and vendors will be present, along with several key figures from the world of technology who will make keynote speeches outlining their vision for the mobile industry and the challenges it faces in the next 12 months and beyond.
Many of the most important mobile devices of the year will make their first public appearances at the show, but MWC has a history of throwing up some oddities, forever destined to be a footnote of history. Past events have seen 3D smartphones, projector phones and 41 megapixel camera phones displayed alongside flagship devices from the likes of Samsung, Nokia and HTC.
But how much attention have you been paying attention to the annual mobile extravaganza? Can you remember all the weird and wonderful gadgets to grace its presence and the key speakers of past shows?
