Cybersecurity is ubiquitous. It affects mostly every single aspect of daily life, whether you’re a consumer or work in the enterprise. From social media, to shopping, to just browsing the web, the array of threats gets bigger as companies struggle to keep up with the ever-evolving threats.
Just last night, for instance, I received an email purporting to be from Amazon.com. “As part of our routine monitoring, we discovered a list of email address and password sets posted online,” it told me.
“We believe your email address and password set was on that list. So we have taken the precaution of resetting your Amazon password.”
The questions could go on.
Keeping up to date with the security landscape is just as important today as going for your annual checkup at the doctors. Okay, maybe not that important, but with millions of pounds at risk and entire livelihoods hanging in the balance, ready to be tipped over at the next major password leak…why take the risk?
