Wrike Establishes Japanese Subsidiary, Incorporating as Wrike Japan

Wrike, the collaborative work management platform for high performance
teams, has expanded its global footprint into Japan with a new
subsidiary, Wrike Japan, and office in Tokyo’s central business
district, Marunouchi. The company marked this important milestone with a
press event at the Tokyo 21c Club that included presentations by Wrike
Founder and CEO Andrew Filev, ISID General Manager of Business
Development Initiative Department Junichiro Tanaka, and Akira Kuragami
from the Information Technology and Engineering Department at Casio.

“We recently surveyed our customers in Japan and it was gratifying to
learn that 93 percent of our customers view Wrike as important to their
organization and 72 percent have experienced improvement on their
work-style,” said Andrew Filev, founder and CEO, Wrike. “The Japan
market is key to Wrike’s global growth strategy and already accounts for
a significant portion of our revenue. We look forward to building on
that momentum and are committed to helping our customers better manage
work, increase alignment, and optimize talent utilization within teams
and across the enterprise.”

Located in the EGG JAPAN building, Wrike Japan opens its doors with 10
employees and a goal to create 50 additional jobs in the next three
years. The company has more than 700 customers in the country today and
experienced 150 percent annual revenue growth year-over-year in Japan
from 2017 to 2018, placing it among Wrike’s top five markets globally.
Wrike has already expanded access to its suite of CWM solutions in Japan
through a partnership with Information Services International-Dentsu,
Ltd. (ISID).

The Information Development Department at Casio Computer Co., Ltd. first
deployed the Wrike platform in 2017. Wrike was implemented to improve
the control and accuracy of projects managed and executed by the
department. Additional Wrike customers in Japan include Giraffe, as well
as Griphone and Grenge from the CyberAgent group.
