Women Techmakers Partners With Bay Valley Tech and Huddle x Launch Pad to Host First Networking Dinner in Stockton on October 24

Women Techmakers will host a networking event and dinner for the first time in Stockton, on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, from 6-8:00 p.m. This event, co-sponsored by Google Developer Group (GDG) Modesto and Bay Valley Tech, will be held at Huddle x Launch Pad, at 110 North San Joaquin Street, Stockton, Calif.

Two guest speakers will shed light on the struggles women face in technology and how they overcame those challenges. Kirsten Villa, Certified IT Professional, who has an inspiring and unique story about how she found her passion for Information Security, and Daisy Mayorga, computer programmer at E&J Gallo Winery, will discuss their sometimes-challenging journey into the technology workforce and how they prevailed over those obstacles and achieved success.

Women Techmakers provides visibility, community and resources for women in technology, as well as insight for those women considering technology as a career path. It holds regular networking meetings and events in the SF Bay Area and the Central Valley to foster guidance and encourage women to enter the technology sector.
