today announced that Engage for Good, a premier social
good and cause-related marketing professional organization, recognized
Vivint with a 2019 Silver Halo Award in its Social Service category. The Engage
for Good Halo Awards
program, now in its 17th year, is
North America’s highest honor for corporate social initiatives and cause
marketing. Other finalists in the category included Suave, Subaru and
Williams Sonoma.

The American Business Awards also recently honored Vivint with a Silver
Stevie Award and designated Vivint Gives Back, the company’s
philanthropic foundation, a Corporate
Social Responsibility Program of the Year
. The American Business
Awards are the premier business awards program in the U.S. This year’s
Stevie Award winners were selected from more than 3,800 nominations from
organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry.

In 2018 alone, Vivint employees dedicated more than 18,000 volunteer
hours and raised more than $1.3 million towards a variety of worthy
causes:

  • Vivint partnered with the NBA’s Utah Jazz to build a special sensory
    room at the Vivint Smart Home Arena for children with autism and other
    intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Vivint and its employees contributed more than $325,000 to the
    National Autism Association and other organizations in support of
    helping children with autism, and nearly $100,000 to the Foundation
    for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics.
  • Vivint teamed up with The Heritage Community, a treatment center for
    people with intellectual and developmental disabilities near its
    corporate headquarters, to begin building a state-of-the-art $2
    million residential treatment facility for teenagers with autism.
  • Vivint joined with Feed My Starving Children to host an event where
    nearly 600 employees and their families packaged more than 200,000
    meals for children with special needs living in orphanages in
    third-world countries.
