Vivint Smart Home (NYSE:VVNT), a leading smart home company, today introduced the Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro, an AI-powered doorbell camera that intelligently detects packages and actively helps protect them from porch pirates and other potential threats. The Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro has the industry’s first 180-degree vertical and horizontal field of view, along with a 1:1 aspect ratio, so you can see both the faces of tall visitors and packages left directly below the camera. The camera’s Smart Sentry analytics will intelligently detect a package and actively monitor your porch to keep it safe. If someone attempts to steal your delivery, Smart Sentry will activate the camera’s deterrent features—a flashing red LED light ring and a warning tone to alert the person that they have been spotted. This also triggers a notification to your smartphone.

“Customers want us to do more than just record and report crime—they expect us to help prevent it,” said Matt Mahar, vice president of cameras at Vivint Smart Home. “We’ve created a unique combination of intelligence, optics and deterrent features to deliver on that expectation. The new Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro, along with Vivint Outdoor Camera Pro and Vivint Car Guard, extends a blanket of protection from inside the home to the edges of your property.”

The Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro triggers notifications and recordings based on people and packages, not pets and passing cars, so you only receive notifications of what matters. In addition to package notifications, you can customize people notifications and choose to be notified either when a person approaches your front door or only when someone rings your doorbell.

Equipped with 1080p HDR video, infrared night vision and two-way talk, the Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro provides 1664 x 1664 video resolution for a crystal-clear image of what’s happening at your front door. The camera records all action on your doorstep as long as a person is in view, and you can share video clips with neighbors or law enforcement directly from your Vivint Smart Home app.

The Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro is available as part of an integrated Vivint smart home system, which includes a Vivint Smart Hub and smart locks, lights, thermostats, indoor and outdoor cameras, garage door control, security sensors, car protection and more.
