Vista Equity Partners (“Vista”), a leading global investment firm focused exclusively on enterprise software, data and technology-enabled businesses, today announced that it is expanding its senior team with the appointment of Shelby Wanstrath as Managing Director, Corporate Growth Initiatives, effective August 2021. Ms. Wanstrath will be based in Austin, Texas and report to David A. Breach, Vista’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Legal Officer and a Senior Managing Director at the Firm.

Ms. Wanstrath’s nearly 20 years of experience in the private investments industry will add significant knowledge and expertise to the firm. She will work closely with Vista’s Executive Committee and the broader organization to lead and support key cross-functional initiatives with a specific focus on new product development, strategic partnerships and fund management programs, among others. Ms. Wanstrath will play an important role in contributing to Vista’s continued growth and market leadership.

Ms. Wanstrath most recently served as the Co-Head of Private Equity Funds at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas where she oversaw the group’s $27 billion private equity funds portfolio and was a member of the Private Equity Investment and Management Committees. Prior to joining TRS in 2014, she led European private equity investments for Partner’s Group and held investment team positions at WhiteHorse Capital and Prudential Capital Group.
Ms. Wanstrath received her BBA in Accounting and Finance and MS in Accounting from SMU, and her MBA from London Business School. She sits on the boards of Dell Children’s Medical Foundation and Petra Preschool.
