Vibrent Health, a health technology company powering the future of precision medicine, announced the successful launch of its Clinical Research Board (CRB), which serves as a valuable forum for the health research ecosystem to inform Vibrent Health’s technology roadmap. The board’s role is to help shape the digital health tools of the future to the benefit of the research community at large.

“In creating the board, Vibrent Health incorporates the perspectives and needs of study teams of all sizes,” said Rachele Peterson, Director of Clinical Research at Vibrent Health. “As a former Research Director at a leading health system, I saw firsthand how the need for technology in the clinical research enterprise has grown many folds. Clinical research is ever increasingly complex with the number of stakeholders expanding between sponsors, participants, study teams, researchers and regulatory requirements. The board is a first-of-its-kind forum that invites clinical researchers to contribute to the important feedback loop that leading companies like Vibrent Health rely on to develop world-class solutions.”

Board members come from a diverse group of healthcare and research organizations, including academic medical centers, Veterans administration (VA), small and regional hospitals and federally qualified health centers, among others. They work directly with research teams and patients and offer a unique perspective into the technology needs of the research community. Many members represent health provider organization partners of the National Institutes of Health’s one-million-person precision medicine initiative, the All of Us Research Program, for which Vibrent Health serves as the Participant Technology Systems Center.

“The board provides the opportunity to help ensure technologies built by Vibrent meet the needs of diverse participants, organizations and research teams,” said Dr. Joyce Ho, an associate research professor at Northwestern University and a member of the board. “With the goal of enrolling one million diverse participants for All of Us, Vibrent designs digital experiences that are usable and relevant for everyone. And we need to be able to access this digital research data easily for our research. It’s a big challenge, but it’s possible when a strong technology partner pays close attention to the specific needs of our community.”

Dr. Ho added, “Serving on the board is an invaluable opportunity – it provides us with a consistent channel to be heard.”

Vibrent Health continues to build enterprise and consumer facing products and solutions that optimize workflows for clinical researchers to reduce burden, save time and increase efficiency. To ensure Vibrent’s solutions exceed the needs of the scientific community, the company partners with clinical research teams to advise Vibrent on market direction and how to best create a technology roadmap for clinical research.

This iterative process ensures that clinical researchers can collect data from populations historically underrepresented in clinical studies. This information can be used to improve patient access, experience, and outcomes in clinical trials. Vibrent Health is dedicated to making trials accessible and inclusive for all, regardless of geography, income and race. The Board builds confidence for other sponsors and investigators that Vibrent Health values their opinions and incorporates their feedback in product design.

“The board’s real-world feedback gives research teams who use Vibrent’s technologies the advantage of actual customer insights as the basis for the design and function of the tools and confidence that the tools have been tried and tested by their peers,” said Praduman “PJ” Jain, CEO and founder of Vibrent Health.
