“Now more than ever, we must support one another. We can fight back against COVID-19 by navigating this adversity together,” said UHSM President Christopher Jin. “We are honored to do what we can to serve our members and local communities.”

“At UHSM, our mission is to unite a community of believers to help promote Christian standards in healthy living, and our Coronavirus initiatives reflect that commitment. Most importantly, by supporting local churches with UHSM Telehealth for Essential Businesses we’re helping ensure God’s mission continues in these troubled times,” said Jin.

Powerful Telehealth Services for UHSM Members

UHSM’s powerful Telehealth network has been in force long before COVID-19, and now the program has expanded to support the needs of its members during the pandemic. UHSM members have access to a telemedicine network that is one of the very few in the U.S. that can effectively diagnose COVID-19 and order testing through the First Health PPO Network, a subsidiary of Aetna, or local and regional drive-through facilities. In extreme cases, telehealth doctors can even provide in-home administered tests or remote doctor-assisted testing of a mail-order kit. Available 7 days a week, UHSM Telehealth providers are fully prepared to triage members who present symptoms of Coronavirus. If quarantined, telehealth doctors monitor and communicate with members, including providing clear instructions of what to do in the case of emergency or hospitalization.

Partnership with Cornbread Hustle #HopeDealers to Support Dallas Area Churches

In honor of our mission to support communities in need and to advocate for better healthcare, UHSM is proud to support Cheri Garcia, founder of Cornbread Hustle, and all the #Hustlers out there Navigating Adversity and willing to do what it takes to transform their lives, For Goodness Sake.

Through community support funding from UHSM, Cornbread Hustle #HopeDealer crews are providing free sanitization and disinfecting services to Dallas, Texas area churches, to help safeguard essential work areas. UHSM is also donating thermometers and offering UHSM Telehealth for Essential Businesses to all church staff and their families, adding an extra layer of security with on-demand healthcare. Should any staffer show symptoms of COVID-19, UHSM Telehealth providers can triage each case, order COVID-19 test and usher patients through quarantine if needed. Plus, daily COVID-19 surveys and temperature check logging helps monitor and protect the Cornbread Hustle and church staffs.
