WekaIO,
the innovation leader in high-performance, scalable file storage for
data-intensive applications, announced today that CRN®, a brand of The
Channel Company, has named Barbara Murphy, VP of Marketing at WekaIO,
and Charla Bunton-Johnson, Director of Channel and Field Marketing at
WekaIO, to its prestigious 2019 Women of the Channel list. Each year,
CRN publishes its Women of the Channel list, recognizing female
executives for their accomplishments and the far-reaching impact they
have on the technology industry.

CRN editors select executives whose expertise and vision are deserving
of recognition as the most powerful women in the channel. The leaders on
this annual list are from all areas of the IT channel ecosystem,
representing technology suppliers, distributors, solution providers, and
other IT organizations. Each is recognized for her contributions to
channel advocacy, channel growth and visionary leadership.

Under the combined leadership of Murphy and Bunton-Johnson, WekaIO has
quickly grown from stealth to channel powerhouse. In the last year, they
have played key roles in developing strategic OEM, technology and
reseller partnerships for the company. They support the channel-first
culture with a 100% channel centric go-to-market focus. This duo scaled
strong partnerships with Dasher Technologies, Groupware, Hewlett Packard
Enterprise (HPE), Mark III Systems, Nephos Technologies, and Western
Digital and as such they have accelerated customer acquisition for
WekaIO representing use cases in artificial intelligence (AI), Machine
Learning, life sciences/genomics, finance, media and entertainment, and
high-performance computing (HPC). Murphy and Bunton-Johnson have built a
solid foundation to facilitate and enable channel sales, supporting the
hyperscale growth of WekaIO.

“CRN’s 2019 Women of the Channel list honors influential leaders who are
accelerating channel growth through mutually-beneficial partnerships,
incredible leadership, strategic vision, and unique contributions in
their field,” said Bob Skelley, CEO of The Channel Company. “This
accomplished group of leaders is driving channel success and we are
proud to honor their achievements.”

“The channel is essential in establishing a strong pipeline of business
opportunities and cementing our position as a leader providing HPC class
storage for the enterprise,” said Liran Zvibel, Co-founder and CEO at
WekaIO. “Barbara and Charla have guided our channel strategy, creating a
program where our partners can grow top line revenue by offering
differentiated storage solutions to their customers.”

The 2019 Women of the Channel list will be featured in the June issue of
