Building upon its robust reservation system and To Go platform, Tock is pleased to announce the launch of Tock 20—a unified reservation, takeout, delivery, and event system designed to help restaurants, wineries, and other businesses build a bridge to the future and maintain control of their operations as they begin to reopen their doors.

Key features include:

  • Contactless ordering and payment at the time of reservation or within the restaurant
  • Advanced waitlist and two-way messaging to ensure social distancing
  • Customizable communication tools and surveys
  • Real-time floor plan editing and capacity planning to make adjustments on the fly
  • Integrated delivery with no additional costs to businesses
  • Complete access and ownership of data

The latest update incorporates all the tools requested by business owners and supports evolving regulatory requirements. CEO Nick Kokonas says, “We prioritized these features, adding to Tock’s already robust platform, because we spent the last month researching what diners want as they return to restaurants—and that’s contactless ordering and payment, transparency regarding safety protocols and social distancing measures, and continued contactless pickup and delivery.”

Tock created the To Go platform this past March as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

As covered in Bloomberg Businessweek, “In six days, Tock’s engineers reinvented the app—instead of taking reservations for tables, it would schedule takeout orders. OpenTable and Tock’s other competitors had lost all their revenue and resorted to linking clients to delivery services such as GrubHub and Uber Eats. But Tock to Go was able to offer its restaurants a solution.”

“We made the switch to Tock when the pandemic hit, and as our To Go sales grew, we quickly were able to re-hire our employees,” says Ezequiel Vázquez-Ger, Co-Owner of Seven Reasons in Washington, DC. “Tock has allowed us to streamline the process of re-opening with reservations and our To Go orders all in one system.”

Kokonas adds, “We created Tock To Go to help the hospitality industry keep going during the pandemic. We created Tock 20 to help the hospitality industry build a bridge to the future.”
