A recent report
conducted by ProjectManagement.com and TeamDynamix reveals that
organizations with higher levels of project maturity deliver
significantly improved outcomes. A comparison of maturity levels
illustrates these benefits. When compared to Level 5 (high maturity)
organizations, Level 1 and Level 2 organizations are:

  • 6.5 times more likely to have their projects fail,
  • more than twice as likely to have projects fall behind schedule, and
  • more than twice as likely to have projects go over budget.

The ProjectManagement.com research was conducted across government,
education, and healthcare sectors with 150 participants.
