State of Kansas’ Official Chatbot, Agent Kay, Wins Stevie® Award for Customer Service

Agent Kay, the official chatbot for the State of Kansas, was honored with a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Contact Center Solution – New category at the 14th annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.

Kansas’ Agent Kay solution was selected from among 2,600 nominations submitted by organizations from across the globe. Entries in this category spanned virtually every industry. Winners were determined by the average scores of more than 180 professionals worldwide on seven specialized judging committees.

Agent Kay was launched in June 2018. At the time of submission, Agent Kay was integrated into six platforms:

The State’s official chatbot is now also assisting visitors on the Kansas Business One Stop site.

In 2019, Agent Kay was integrated into Kansas WebFile, becoming the first instance of an artificial intelligence chatbot to support a state income tax filing system. Since then, the chatbot has received positive feedback and other prestigious awards for transforming the way citizens and businesses interact with the state.
