Skyworks Appoints Alan Batey to its Board of Directors

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: SWKS), an innovator of high performance analog semiconductors connecting people, places and things, today announced that the company has appointed Alan S. Batey to its board of directors. Batey most recently served as executive vice president and president of North America for General Motors, as well as the global brand chief for Chevrolet, a division of GM. As a member of the senior leadership team, he was responsible for the company’s largest and most profitable region with over $100 billion in revenue and more than 100,000 employees. His career spans more than 39 years with GM where he held various senior management positions in operations, marketing and sales around the world.

Batey, 56, completed GM’s senior executive program at Harvard University and received a certificate in Mechanical Engineering Maintenance Craft Studies from The City and Guilds of London Institute.
